Bangkok's airplane graveyard

A few weeks ago, I uploaded a picture from an abandoned airplane at my Instagram account. After uploading the picture some photographers contacted me and asked many questions about that place. Therefore, I want to use the chance and write a small article about Bangkok’s abandoned airplane graveyard. First, I want to inform you how to get there. As usual there are different options. The cheapest one is to take a boat from Pratunam Pier to direction Bang Kapi. For just 19 Thai Baht you will drive around 35 minutes later at the last stop “Bang Kapi”. If you arrived there you must walk 2 more minutes and then you will find the airplane graveyard on your right side. To enter the area you have to pay a family who lives there around 150 – 200 Thai Baht per person.

Elephantfarm in Chiang Mai

Hey guys, I want to tell you about my trip to an elephantfarm in Chiang Mai. It was a beautiful experience to meet those giant gentle animals. You can book a trip to a farm at any activity shop in Chiang Mai. Don't worry, they are really hard to miss. Just beware of paying to much. The usual prices range from 2.000-2.500 Baht (~50-60 €) for a full day trip and half of that for a half day trip. After a lot of negotiation, I was able to bring the price down to 1.100 Baht for the whole day. I guess they make a lot of margin on those trips. After going there, I would suggest to take the half day trip, since they don't really do much less. Here's a recap of the day: We got picked up in the morning by a taxi and arrived at the farm after about an hour. First we learned some keywords to communicate with the elephants, and then we went straight to feeding them sugarcane and bananas. Loy Krathong festival in Chiang Mai

Hey guys, so in the beginning of November I went to Chiang Mai for a couple of days, mainly to celebrate the Loy Kratong, or Lanternfestival. It is also celebrated in many other parts of Thailand, but this city actually celebrates 3 days of Loy Kratong. People from all over the world (and tons of German people) travel there and want to light a lantern to make a wish. In the evening, everyone gathers at the bridge, and you can see more and more lights, the longer you stay. When you have enough, you can go and buy a small decorated boat with a candle on it, that you light up and release into the river. If you have the time (I guess since you are reading our blog right now, you do), you should go and search for some more pictures of the loy kratong in Thailand. There are some people who released way more beautiful pictures and videos than I could ever take. You should find some time next year and go there for a couple of days and then travel the rest of Asia. -Zeljko
